Los Angeles: a city united on Sunday, September 30 at Westwood Park, 12 noon

City United 4 More Park & Play Space, a not for profit public benefit association dedicated to creating playing fields and active park space across our city for our children, will convene a rally to show our national pride, commitment to creating more playing fields and to honor the L.A. City Fire Department’s Urban Search & Rescue Team, which has recently returned from working in N.Y.C. at the site of the World Trade Center tragedy.

From the Westside to the Eastside, from South Central to the Valley, families will unite together to proudly fly the American flag and draw attention to the need for more fields of green for children across our diverse city.

The rally will be held at Westwood Park and culminate with a March to and from the corner of Wilshire and Veteran Boulevards, adjacent to the Federal Building. Babies, toddlers, Soccer Moms and Dads, teams of youth soccer players, rugby players, baseball players, coaches, referees, umpires, civic leaders, politicians and community activists will rally together, march and fly our flag with pride in a unified pursuit of the American Way of creating a political force for something wanted by a community of citizens, namely more and better places for our kids to play.

This will be a notable citywide demonstration of unity in these uncertain times. City United will bring together Los Angelenos to show our widespread support for our country, city, children and the future.
